Divan restaurant – a Turkish concept of traditional cuisine cooked in a genuine Turkish kitchen. Turkish cuisine is rated as one of the third best in the world and has its traces from the Ottoman Empire. Slowly boiling stews, grilled meat on spears, bulgur, grilled vegetables and tasty freshly baked lavesh bread are some of the things you can find on the Divan menu. Our goal is to create a family-friendly and functional environment that serves healthy and delicious meals of quality at affordable prices. Our rooms are perfect for birthdays, celebrations, Christmas parties, etc. for an oriental evening, a little out of the ordinary. In 2016 I took over the Divan restaurant and since that time of hard work and will, Divan has become one of the best restaurants in Fredrikstad. To me it’s quality and service that is an important part of the job. I want the guests to get the best experience with both food and atmosphere

Chef with 34 years of experience. Arrived in Norway in 1990 and operated own Turkish and Italian Restaurant in Oslo. In 2007 I went back to Turkey to work at a hotel called Venezia hotel. There I worked as the chef’s assistant. In 2017 I returned to Fredrikstad and now work at Divan Restaurant. What makes me most happy is seeing happy guests who like the food I make.
